For this recipe, you need:

1 Resealable, airtight glass container

6 Heaping tablespoons (1/2 cup) of freshly ground coffee

3 Cinnamon sticks

5 Whole, dried black peppercorns

1/4 Teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 Teaspoon of whole cloves

1/4 Teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 Teaspoon of ground nutmeg

(optional) 1/2 Teaspoon dried orange peel shavings

(optional) 1/8 Teaspoon brown sugar

Add all of the ingredients to the glass container, seal the container, and shake the container a few times to ensure the coffee and spices are well mixed. Vanilla hazelnut and chocolate hazelnut coffees

Vanilla hazelnut and chocolate hazelnut coffees make the perfect winter treats! The rich, creamy nut tones of the hazelnut add additional depth to the coffee along with a sweet nutty flavor while vanilla bean and / or chocolate add to the beans’ natural sweetness. We recommend using a naturally sweet or honey processed coffee for this particular mix as coffees with strong citrus or earthy tones are likely to clash with the vanilla / chocolate. The recipe below makes one pot or 34-ounces of coffee.

For this recipe, you need:

1 Resealable, airtight glass container

6 Heaping tablespoons (1/2 cup) of freshly ground coffee

1/8 Vanilla bean or 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 Cup chopped hazelnuts

Add all of the ingredients to the glass container, seal the container, and shake the container a few times to ensure the coffee and spices are well mixed. Allow the container to sit in a dry, dark space for at least 12 hours before brewing. When you are ready to brew, use the spiced grounds as you would use regular grounds. Sealed properly, this spice mix will last for up to one week. Enjoy!
