French toast coffee recipe

French Toast coffee was inspired by the childhood ‘coffee’ my grandmother used to make me when I wanted to feel on par with the adults at breakfast. (She added everything except coffee to my cup — although occasionally I talked her into adding one tablespoon!) As I aged, I continued to make my own caffeinated version of this wonderful treat. Hope you enjoy it!

Step 1: Add the following to your mug (I’ve used a 12-ounce mug in the picture.):

  • 2 crushed tea biscuits
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/8th teaspoon of brown sugar

Step 2: Add a few drops of coffee to your cup and mix the ingredients together until well-blended.

Step 3: Add your coffee. If you enjoy flavored coffee and love that french toast flavor, try using French Toast coffee.

Step 4: Add your milk or cream. If you are heating the milk, heat it until it is warm to the touch. You can also froth the milk before adding it to the coffee to create additional texture.

Step 5: Top with milk foam and / or whipped cream and some brown sugar.

Step 6: Enjoy!
