The leaves have almost all fallen and sweater weather has arrived. Time to break out the boots and hats and enjoy the sights and smells of the season. Nothing evokes the onset of the holidays to me quite like the smell of pumpkin baking. Add in the joyful noise of family and friends laughing around a holiday table (even a virtual one) and you have the beginning of a most excellent holiday season. As the weather gets cooler nothing satisfies quite as much as a warm piece of cake enjoyed with a steaming mug of coffee.
