Iced caramel macchiato

The word macchiato translates from the Italian to "spotted" or "stained". Traditionally, an espresso macchiato is an afternoon treat composed of one shot of espresso spotted with a dash of frothed milk. The latte macchiato, on the other hand, is composed of a glass approximately 1/3 - 2/3 filled with milk, and marked, or stained, with espresso. The espresso is slowly poured into the milk, literally creating a “spot” in the center of the glass. The additional blending of flavors and the advent of the iced macchiato became popularized in the 1990s. Here is my version of the iced caramel macchiato. Enjoy!

Hot & spicy mocha – 2 ways

Are you a fan of chocolate in your coffee? Do you like a little heat with your chocolate? If so, one of these hot and spicy mocha recipes is just for you! The first recipe uses a very chocolaty whipped cream. If you lean more towards chocolate than spice, this is your baby. The second uses a sweet and spicy chocolate frothed milk. If you prefer a touch of chocolate with your spice, this recipe will be hot enough for you! Either way you can't go wrong when you combine coffee, chocolate, and a little spice!!

Vietnamese style coffee

This recipe is a quick and easy play on traditional Vietnamese egg coffee. Often in Vietnam the coffee is quite bitter. Adding egg yolk leads to a clearer, less bitter brew, without any loss of body. When combined with condensed milk the result is a wonderfully aromatic sweet yet mild treat that I found surprisingly delicious!

Chocolate covered coffee cups

Using a chocolate covered waffle cone is a great and easy way to jazz up your dessert coffee. This is a tasty treat that can be used in multiple ways. Fill the cups with coffee for the adults, or ice cream, or pudding for the children. What a crowd pleaser!!! Best of all they are quite easy to make and customize for whomever you are serving!
