Almond joy inspired coffee

Coconut, chocolate, and almonds are combined to create a brilliant coffee treat inspired by the famous candy bar. The candy, which has been around since the 1940s, is often debated — love it or hate it, there is no in between. Of course, as the famous commercial jingle tells us “Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t” — if you would prefer a Mounds inspired drink, just leave out the almonds and follow the directions as listed below. Either way, you cant go wrong with this luscious candy bar inspired coffee treat. Enjoy!

Delicious coffee recipes – just in time for the holidays!

I find inspiration for new coffee recipes in many places. Whether experimenting on my own, reading magazines, scouring blogs, or searching the Internet, I am constantly encountering innovative ways to include coffee in baking. In this post I highlight some wonderful recipes encountered on my searches – they all have two things in common: coffee and deliciousness. Enjoy!

Pumpkin coffee swirl bread

The leaves have almost all fallen and sweater weather has arrived. Time to break out the boots and hats and enjoy the sights and smells of the season. Nothing evokes the onset of the holidays to me quite like the smell of pumpkin baking. Add in the joyful noise of family and friends laughing around a holiday table (even a virtual one) and you have the beginning of a most excellent holiday season. This recipe captures those sounds and sights in one joyful, lip smacking-ly good, sweet cold-weather treat. Enjoy!

Coffee spice cake

As the weather gets cooler nothing satisfies quite as much as a warm piece of cake enjoyed with a steaming mug of coffee. Adding mouth-watering, heartwarming spices to the mix will help to heat you up from the inside out. I have adapted a traditional spice cake recipe to do just that. If you sample this cake with your preferred coffee by a roaring fire, the approaching winter may seem a little less frosty. Enjoy!

Chocolate hazelnut espresso bites

When the air begins to get crisp and that earthy, musky, and sweet scent of autumn fills my nose the urge to bake quickens within me! I am constantly looking for a new and easy recipe to try out or to bring along to the next holiday gathering. These chocolate hazelnut espresso bites are perfect to eat at home or share as a gift! Top them with freshly prepared ganache frosting and your friends will be begging for the recipe.
